Boulder Springs of Columbia

I moved into Boulder Springs of Columbia, Missouri in 2016. Due to job-related relocation, I'll be moving out today. In the last three years, Boulder Springs has provided me the best living experience that one can ever have. On one hand, the location of Boulder Springs is only 7 minutes away from the heart of Downtown Columbia providing the most convenient access to work and social life. On the other hand, the design and landscape of Boulder Springs are perfect. It sits on top of the hill, the scenery surrounding Boulder Springs is spectacular. A walk along the lake inside Boulder Springs after work brings you a sense of tranquility. It also offers the most exquisite view of the four seasons. We moved these apartments 1 and half year ago, but I would consider as one of the worst decision of my life. This place is like living hell. If you have family with kids, this place is not for you. Even though, onsite staff is amazing with good service for maintenance with no safety issues, but the biggest problem is noise. Noise coming from upper, side apartments will make your life miserable. You cannot sleep at all as dry walls and roof are so thin that you can listen to normal conversation, coughing spells, loud noise with music, and door slamming. Floor is so thin that people walking upstairs apartment cause continuous sound disturbing your sleep, studying, and normal activities. We have sent multiple emails but with no remedy. Worst ever apartment and worst ever services. Apartment walls and floors are too thin that you can even hear the conversation and sounds of private moments as well. The Manager, Lisa recommended us to turn on the bathroom exhaust fan and to buy sound machine. The stomping sounds of people walking on the upper floor is too much that you can't sleep well in winters especially if the upper tenant keeps walking all long night. Manager, Lisa will ask you for evidence. We are so free that we recorded few videos in the middle of the night. But, still no solution. She gave us a option to terminate our lease early. However, we can't because our kid school district. The places we found are out of school district and the places that are in same school district, they are not accepting short term lease

I lived here for 6 years and moved out in april of 2024 (7 months ago). It’s taken me awhile to decide what/if I should I review. Our first 4ish years were very pleasant. The last year and a half or so, not so much. Like other reviews have stated, a large part of it was management which had changed in that time period. Initially our issue noise was from upstairs neighbors. It would go on during the day when they were home, heavily around 6pm until 1-1:30am every night. It was mostly stomping and the large dogs running around constantly and playing with some sort of ball. Because you can already hear every noise in these apartments, this seemed even more magnified. My husband and I had the best renting experience possible at Boulder Springs! Our apartment was beautiful, the amenities were fantastic, and the maintenance team was always friendly and helpful. If we weren’t moving for work we would absolutely renew. We have said so many times we wish we could take our exact apartment and move it with us.
