Boardwalk Apartments

I honestly believe Asia is genuinely concerned about the residents here. For me personally she initiated two service calls for a wasp problem. My air conditioner and kitchen flooring were 10.5 years old and both got replaced. She went over and above for our Night to Unite event. Signed: a blessed resident

Boardwalk is a very nice senior and disabled community in a quiet, leafy neighborhood just a few blocks from downtown Wayzata. It is surrounded by trees, wildlife, and beautiful Heritage Park just out the north door. Across the street from the park is Lunds & Byerlys, a Walgreens, a UPS store, a pet store, and much more. Within a block, you also have several fast food restaurants and a holiday gas station. Many of the residents are very kind, friendly, and outgoing, giving Boardwalk a true sense of community. But if you're looking for quiet living, the apartment walls and ceilings are solid concrete, minimizing the noise from neighbors. Unless you want to live in an apartment that is run like a penitentiary I wouldn't move here. You have residents that patrol the hallways 24 hours a day and soon cameras at every door 🚪. If you smoke you get reported weather you smoke in your apartment or not. Very nice area

I helped my mother to move to the apartments a year ago. The whole process was smooth, Sonya, the manager, was very helpful and had apartment clean and ready, the carpet was changed and the walls were repainted. Every time my mother has an issue, it is fixed right away, in fact the noisy old fridge was replaced by new several months ago. Sonya and Mike, the current managers, are really great!

Boardwalk advertises as a smoke free property. There are signs in the parking lot that say it is “100% Smoke Free”. There are decals at all entrances that say it is “100% Smoke Free”. The brochure, right outside the office, says “smoke free". "No Smoking" is part of the lease agreement. Enforcement of the “smoke free” part of the lease leaves much to be desired. There are ongoing problems with a couple of the tenants who seem to think they are above the rules. One of these tenants is in a nursing home for now while the other is continuing to smoke as if she was given permission.
