I am so disappointed with Unity Homes for underestimating the costs of building a small efficient home. I have followed Unity for at least 10 years hoping to build from them. Last March I finally started all of the work necessary to build. Christine Osterwalder was wonderful to work with and got me on the path to build a Xyla. I truly believed that I would have a Unity home this fall. Then Christine left Unity. My expectations were that my costs would be $450 - $500,000, but cost estimates inflated this summer to $550 - $600,000. When I contacted Alison, my time, plan and investment was crushed. I am devastated.
Fantastic homes! The energy efficiency ,design and construction is awesome!
