Benchmark Title & Escrow, LLC

I have to share so no one else gets caught in this situation with them. We closed on a property with them and during title search they totally "missed" a Special Assessment that the seller was supposed to pay at closing (we were the buyers). We found this out when the bill came due to us. The bill was for 6k. We had to pay it in full. When brought to the title companies attention they were extremely combative, rude and have ignored our emails and calls. Special assessments are part of a simple title search and what we have title and closing companies in place for. I am in real estate and steer all my fellow agents, clients and contacts away from this company.

I worked with Janice Q on a purchase transaction and she was amazing to work with! So friendly, on time with all the documents we needed (I'm a processor and we rely on title for many aspects of a smooth closing) and I would definitely recommend working with Janice!
