Well I moved into my apartment in February they were very responsive out of all the apartments in Dover they were the only place to return a phone call or email. Apartments are spacious and well maintained and a lot of them are newly renovated. Had an issue with water because the city was doing maintenance and turned the water on in the middle of the night had a leak from the apartment above me called him at 4:00 AM and he was here withing 10-15 minutes. Immediately in the afternoon there were people here to remedy the problem. Everyone I have encountered on the staff here has been more than friendly and accommodating. I see people complaining about the prices but good luck finding a new renovated apartment for cheaper for the size or the speedy responses from anyone on their staff. There

We have been at Lilac Gardens since the spring of 2019, and have had good relationships with both their current and previous leasing agents. When we originally moved in, we had some trouble with our washing machine hookups, but the management team was quick to do everything they could to help make the situation right. Meghan even went above and beyond to get us into a new unit with a working washer and dryer. Their newest leasing agent, Amanda, has also been extremely helpful in getting us what we needed in order to sign for another term. We are very appreciative of her flexibility and quick response time. Although there are some bad reviews out there, this is a nice place to live for an affordable price, and we appreciate everything the management team has done for us!

The Monument Garden building is lovely, and the leasing staff has been friendly. Not sure about all of the other reviews, but I haven’t had any of those issues. The only problem is that when I was about to sign the lease, it was agreed upon that the available unit that I wanted had a patio...so I signed the document and then moved in to find no patio. The excuse was along the lines of ‘in the hour between it being agreed upon and the lease is signed, someone else rented the apartment w/ the patio’. So that upset me, and when lease renewal comes around, I plan to kindly ask to switch to a new unit with a patio/balcony at no charge; if that isn’t able to be accomplished nice and peacefully, then I may seek legal counsel, as I have all correspondence with them saved. DO NOT RENT HERE! This place is UNIMAGINABLY awful. Management has shown time and time again their complete incompetence to perform even the most menial of tasks. Here's a brief summary of your future experience at Lilac Gardens: -Little to no communication between management and tenants -False eviction notices due to rent being misplaced due to incompetent management -Unexpectedly getting your key fobs disabled due to incompetent management, effectively locking you out of your own building -Repeatedly getting pest control to enter your home without notice. Provided a written notice on the initial visit, nothing subsequently thereafter. No tenants rights whatsoever. Also, no sign ever of any pests. What were they looking for? Why were we never informed? And lastly, a vanishing security

Maintenance and office staff are always warm and helpful. Many beautiful things have been done to the apartments and the surrounding landscape. I think it is a great place to live.
