Have you been scammed or tricked by Bella Vista residential complex in Hilltop Richmond (3400 Richmond Pkwy, Richmond, CA 94806)? I recently had an awful experience trying to apply for an apartment at Bella Vista. They took $500 from me without any previous communication or notice from either the leasing agent who gave me the tour or on the website through which you apply. I filled out everything, put my card information in to pay for the background check, and submitted everything. A week later, I noticed a big charge plus the ~$60 for the background check from them. I was shocked and called them multiple times to get clarification. I was never able to get through to a human, so I had to go back to their leasing office. Their office is always closed, so I rang the bell and an agent only
I do not recommend this place. This place charged me $64 for each 2application and an $800 deposit. I've been waiting almost two months for my money to be returned to my bank account. I've spoken with the “manager Gael”, and all the employees, and nothing has been resolved regarding the deposit charged without my application being approved. Car wheel theft is common at this location. The management is terrible.
I would advise anyone considering living in this complex to reconsider. I've been living here for six months, and everything is a complete disaster. The apartments are very old and have no soundproofing at all. Also, the ground is very sensitive, and you're likely to have constant problems with your downstairs neighbors because they'll be disturbed by your footsteps. If you report any problems to the office staff, you'll have to wait at least three months for them to be resolved. The gym is too small for such a location. Parking is a major issue. You only have one designated parking spot. You have to pay $50 for a second car, and you can only park in designated areas. Parking is incredibly difficult, so we have to park far away. I’ve been living here for a little over 5 years now. I love my neighbors and I love all the amenities that we have. Vanessa in guest services is great such a beautiful soul and very nice and professional. Very well dressed, and always on top of business! The only complaints I have are fix the dam sauna in the gym! Also clean the extremely dirty indoor pool! But overall great staff and I appreciate the assistance I have received from Vanessa. I think one day she’ll be a good fit for management. Oh last thing please be more swift with the work orders maintenance lags way too much So of course Vanessa came to the rescue again!! We have lived here for 1 year and 4 months. I agree with many of the other reviews. The complex is short-staffed, and maintenance issues take months to resolve. We have had to repeatedly follow up and send videos, once even showing someone walking around late at night and stealing packages. Despite everything, my family and I remained calm and understanding. However, the noise from the upstairs unit has been unbearable. Since December, we have been hearing loud footsteps every night, along with dog barking, furniture being moved, and loud arguments. This has affected our health and sleep, and we cannot work during the day because we are constantly exhausted.
