Bayou Shadows Apartment Homes

I stayed around 2 years at Bayou Shadows, moved out 02/2026. I was in a remodeled apartment. They are really nice inside, I love that there's no carpet and all the cabinets are soft close. I want to give a full, genuine review, so here are the pros and cons of living here: Pros: * The service is exceptional. Maintenance issues were always handled very quickly (like same day or next day), and the people that worked the desk were always nice and accommodating. * Trash comes 3x a week. * The apartment gym is nice with decent equipment. * They take noise complaints seriously. That was nice. I had a super loud upstairs neighbor and was reluctant to say anything but after a week of no sleep, I gave up and called. I’ve been living at Bayou Shadows for 9 1/2 years. Living at Bayou Shadows has been wonderful. Twice over the years there were two times that my AC unit went out in two different units. I called the office to let them know, And when I tell you by the time I got home from work they had a new AC unit installed and it was nice and cold in my apartment. Other small issues over the years came up and I have to say they are very quick at getting those issues resolved. The staff over the years have been great and very helpful. I just recently transferred units four days ago as they are about to renovate the unit I was in. Tabitha, Jackie, Jalen, and Aliyah are all wonderful and all are very helpful. I shopped for an apartment all over Lafayette. I ended up deciding to go with Bayou Shadows because the facilities were well kept and the apartments were renovated recently. I put down the security deposit ($300) and was all set to move in when an opportunity in Texas took me out of state. Unfortunately that wasn’t refundable but it was made clear by their team what the terms of the process were. Their leasing team was very honest and clear throughout. Highly recommend these apartments and the team working there.

I love living here it is spacious . They notify us about upcoming bad weather and they give back by hosting events for us . So recently i noticed I had roaches coming in which I never seen them before but I had to kill 4 in 2 days , now it’s not the complex they do complete a pest control routine . But I did have new neighbors move in a few months ago and I went to check the mailbox and seen they patio had dried dog and bird food along with old garbage bags that had been there for about 4 days ( the dumpster is not full at all) please can yall fix this nobody patio should be dirty like that .

My and I just transferred to a different apartment and it went so smoothly. I would like to thank Jackie for helping us with the transfer. As always the entire staff is always pleasant and this is why we choose to stay here at Bayou Shadows.
