Base Hospitality Group

Base Hospitality Group manages the EconoLodge in Marquette, MI where I experienced systematic billing issues and poor customer service that was eventually resolved. They charged my card 4 times (totaling $1,668) for a single $417 stay in April 2025. Three of these charges were completely unauthorized, including one at 2:55 AM while I was asleep and another over a month after my stay ended. For over 6 weeks, their staff lied repeatedly about the refund process. They claimed "only owners can process refunds" without disclosing that Base Hospitality Group is the actual corporate owner.
