Axis West Campus

I have lived at Axis West for 4 years and have really enjoyed my time here! My apartment faced west with a beautiful view of the hills and I got along well with my assigned roommates. Each room is guaranteed to come with a window and each apartment comes with a balcony which has become uncommon for west campus. I really enjoy the monthly community events - they even had a petting zoo at the pool once! The staff is very kind and responsive and do their best to improve the property. My biggest complaint was the poor wi-fi, however last summer they set up a whole new system and it has been working great! This past year they also brought on a new maintenance team so my requests have been handled very quickly. While it is a little further from campus, I would recommend Axis West to any UT stude

Pretty solid apartment for the price, the amenities are nice, and honestly pretty good for the low rent, there's a variety of amenities to choose from but the free Starbucks coffee and well-managed study areas are the highlights. The pool area is nice as well, since it's Spring the flowers and plants look really pretty by the cabanas. The rooms are also pretty large for one person and the amount of furniture with the $50-fully-furnished pack is really abundant. So far our only issues were the screen door falling off, one broken bathroom lock (it got fixed immediately though), and minor issues like those. The wifi is iffy sometimes but that's expected from any wampus apartment anyways.

Got a mix up in my charges for the month. Gave them a heads up a few weeks before rent to resolve the issue, called them, emailed them, texted them. Each time they responded with we will talk to management, but they never did. I asked them to call me and they did but with the "we would have to talk to management" excuse. I ended up having to pay the extra mistaken amount, it's tough to get management to talk with me. They charge extra amounts and once they make the mistake they refuse to actually get someone that can help to talk....

Highly suggest not living here and moving somewhere closer. AC constantly breaking and birds stuck in AC unit. No cameras in apartment hallways. Won’t move me out of my bird poop parking spot even though there are so many available. Moved into a room with dead flies and strange paint marks. Glass part of my fan randomly fell down ever though I’ve never touched it — almost got hit. Lobby may look nice but it’s all a facade. This place is old, run-down, and far from campus. The staff are nice but do yourself a favor, ignore the good reviews, and stay away from here!

Mold everywhere, even got on dishes every time we would wash them in the dishwasher. Be very careful, especially if you have health issues. Did a number on my health.
