If rewarding the bare minimum was my preference, I’d give this building five stars. However, I must strongly advise individuals before considering moving in. The website’s descriptions of the amenities are misleading. For instance, the 24-hour gym is not as advertised. You can expect broken or malfunctioning equipment, trash piling up, and repairs that need to be done during the week. The website doesn’t mention that the 24-hour maintenance contact is available, but they’ll simply submit a ticket, leaving you to handle the issue yourself until the next business day. Good luck even getting maintenance inside your apartment during business hours. The “laundry facilities” are often broken or charge exorbitant fees because they don’t wash and dry clothes properly. I walked in and was acknowledged right away by Barbara! She gave an outstanding tour and made me feel so welcomed. She introduced me to the staff and even some residents passed by and said hello. Her customer service is top tier and I would recommend anyone looking for a nice , clean and welcoming place to live in Laurel , MD to check the Avondale out and ask for Barbara!

I can’t say enough great things about crystal! She has been so kind and patient with me, always taking the time to answer my questions and explain things thoroughly. Her professionalism and attention to detail really stand out. She is very thorough in her work and makes sure everything is done properly. On top of that, she’s always welcoming and greets me with a smile, which makes every interaction pleasant. Her strong work ethic and positive attitude truly make a difference. I would never recommend living here unless you're prepared to deal with a serious mouse infestation on your own. While the outside of the property looks clean and well-kept, the inside tells a different story. Mice are everywhere — in the apartments, on patios, in laundry rooms — you name it. Despite multiple visits from exterminators, the problem never goes away. It's exhausting and disgusting. I’ve been constantly sick, and I can’t leave anything out in the kitchen or even in cabinets. The only safe place for food is the refrigerator. Clothes in closets? Covered in mouse droppings. Nothing is untouched. This situation violates basic tenant rights. Yet if you withhold rent due to these conditions, the management will still report you, which could hurt your ability to rent elsewhere. Don’t
