Avery Glen Apartments

I have lived in Avery Glen for the past year, and I seriously can't recommend it enough. The apartments are clean, large, updated, and perfectly located near downtown Decatur. Kiran, the Community Director, has been so helpful. From helping me find an apartment to helping me with anything that may come up, she never fails to go above and beyond for anything I may need. She and Kevin, who runs maintenance, are so quick and helpful. They make the community feel like a home.

I've lived at Avery Glen for about 7 months and can't say enough great things about the place. The staff are incredibly friendly, helpful, and quick to respond. The maintenance manager has a pleasant, accommodating attitude, despite being super busy (and despite me being rather particular about certain things). The neighbors I've met are friendly and we all agree that the apartments are quiet. We don't even hear the people right next door unless they're coming and going. The location is perfect. I'm a short walk from Decatur Square without living on top of it and having to deal with the noise and parking problems. These apartments were built in the 60s but have been recently renovated and are very nice-- all new appliances and paint indoors. The back half is dorms for Agnes Scott and the students are very quiet and respectful. We have had a few issues with our apt since moving in, but the staff is very helpful and responds quickly. There is a small community pool with a grill and the community is gated. The best part is the access to downtown and beautiful Decatur neighborhoods for a decent price. There is so much to do within a 10-20 minute walk!

Location is perfectly placed for easy access to several boutique clothing, eateries, grocery stores, plazas, and Agnes Scott College. A dream space for people who like quiet living when they come home from work. I have only had 1 work order since being here (for my washing machine) and that was handled promptly within a couple of days of reporting the issue. The property management staff in the office are always kind, professional, and readily responsive to concerns regardless of whether it's a property matter or a Decatur community concern! Oh, and the cost is beyond being worth every penny. I absolutely love my apartment and spacing. The grounds are kept clean by maintenance daily, and police patrol through the complex as well. This place is great for the value, location, and management team! I know there are newer options in the area, but this one is a gem! Not only have I lived here multiple times, but I’ve had friends live here, and they have loved their experience as well. Pros: - great and quiet community - close to downtown Decatur, and easy walk - gated community - small pool - spacious apartments with great layouts Cons: - appliances and lighting it dated - hard to grill out (they have a small grill) If you are looking for a great place to stay, close to Decatur, at a great value, then this is your place. The community is nice and welcoming and staff will take care of you when needed! And they usually have a waitlist so if you are interested; let them know asap
