Aurora is a very quiet community. It's perfect for those who want a great location, peace, and security. The apartments are of excellent quality. Pamela and Rachel in the leasing office provide exceptional service, and the maintenance team is always helpful and committed. It's a family-friendly and welcoming environment. I love living here and have already made good friends.
I do not recommend Aurora on the Trail. We signed our lease based on the model apartment the leasing team showed us — they never showed us the real apartment before signing. When we arrived to move in, the unit was not clean and not habitable. Over 14 days, we asked multiple times for the flooring to be fixed. On the third attempt, we saw the “repair” pictured added — mismatched planks that looked like a patch job. At that point we gave up. Other serious problems included: • Elevator was out of service from the beginning and stayed broken the entire time, making it impossible to move in • Ant infestation — we reported it, but it was never fixed, and I had to buy and apply my own pest control liquid • Broken toilet seat and oven handle • Broken outlet cover (safety hazard) • Poorly patch
The Good 1. The facilities and amenities are fantastic. The clubhouse is a great space, though a few pieces of furniture could use some attention. 2. Staff have been friendly in person. 3. Elevators are a big plus and make day-to-day living easier. Needs Improvement 1. A lightning storm took out the main security access system a couple weeks after move-in, and it’s been about a month without a full repair. This is a core safety/quality-of-life issue that deserves urgency. 2. There was a move-in special; after the promised 30 days, the offer still hasn’t been fully honored. Clear timelines and follow-through would help. 3. The resident portal workflow could be better. If an inquiry is sent to a staff member who doesn’t handle that issue, it appears to go unanswered rather than being rout
If you're reading reviews to decide whether or not to apply, I highly recommend stopping by the leasing office and speaking directly with Rachael and Pam. They are by far the nicest leasing agents I've toured with, and they’re completely honest throughout the whole process. It's important to remember that they are also human and can make occasional mistakes, but they handle everything professionally. The apartment I was shown is the same one I’ll potentially be applying for. Just ask if you can tour the actual unit before applying, and they’ll absolutely accommodate that if it’s available. I definitely recommend this apartment complex!
Well, they asked me for feedback on my touring experience so here it goes. I came from out of town to tour this community and others around central Florida. So you can imagine my frustration when I arrived after sitting in parking lot level traffic on Colonial Dr for an additional 20 mins after getting off I-4 to tour this place and then be intercepted by a temp who by her own admission hardly knew anything about the community. The only explanation she had for why it was her giving me the tour and not the actual people who work there is that it was a ‘last minute change.’ Huh? Why didn’t anyone call me and let me know so I didn’t waste my time driving over there and sitting in unimaginable traffic forever? Why was I not even given an option to reschedule or even a virtual touring option? T
