Astoria West - Luxury Rentals

I recently moved out of Astoria West after three wonderful years, and I can honestly say it was an incredible place to call home. I was one of the first tenants to move in back in 2022 while the building was still under construction, and it has been amazing to see it grow into a vibrant community. The staff were by far the highlight of my experience—every concierge, resident manger, porter, and handyman went out of their way to be kind, helpful, and responsive. On the rare occasion that I had to submit a maintenance ticket, the service was fast and reliable. Their professionalism and warmth made the building feel like home, and it’s what I’ll miss most now that I’ve relocated out of state. My husband and I moved into Astoria West in the spring of 2023, shortly after the building opened. Three years later, our prevailing feeling is sadness. Watching what was once a beautiful, well-run building steadily deteriorate has been deeply disappointing. For our first year, Astoria West truly felt like a haven. The onsite staff was exceptional, amenities were well managed, and the General Manager, Chris, was responsive and accountable - emails were answered within 24–48 hours. The rent was high, but the experience justified it. In early 2025, ownership (Corcoran) replaced Chris with FirstService Residential. I lived at Astoria West for 3 years and had a truly wonderful experience. The staff made all the difference, they were always kind, professional, and incredibly responsive. Whether it was handling packages, maintenance requests, or simply greeting me with a smile, they consistently went above and beyond to make me feel at home. Their warmth and dedication created such a welcoming environment, and I’m really grateful for the care they put into the community. Thank you to the entire team for making my time here amazing!

I moved into Astoria West three months ago and have had an amazing experience so far. The building is beautiful, well-maintained, and has a great community feel. Everyone has been super friendly and accommodating. Lenny, the building manager, is fantastic. He’s friendly, professional, and incredibly responsive. He’s easily the best manager I’ve had in my 10 years living in NYC. I would highly recommend Astoria West to anyone looking for a spot in NYC.

Nearly 3 years as a resident and I’m overall satisfied with the experience living here. The units, amenities and staff (minus the bald guy) are pleasant. The only issues are the shuttle bus being off schedule a portion of the time, the gym AC isn’t always functional (which is insane and unsafe in summer months), 1 of the 2 elevators isn’t always functional (weird considering that this is a newer building), not providing or allowing window screens despite the overwhelming amount of insects/pests that come inside from the courtyard area, and packages going missing at times (they’re usually found later on, but I did have an entire apple MacBook go missing never to be found). Leaving this feedback in the hopes that improvements are made.
