Anchor Village

I really have loved my experience here. I am so grateful to the management and maintenance of Anchor Village for giving me a home. Downtown Stockton has its issues and can be scary at times, but this has been a safe, stable place and for this I am very grateful. The neighbors are really good people too. Very respectful and friendly. I thank the Housing Authority for finding this place for me. I don't take it for granted. It has all made a positive difference in my life.

I would give it no stars but, you have to give one to leave the review. The place is over run with ROACHES! They are in the hall ways, stair wells, elevator, every apartment, lobby you name it they are there. We have homeless people roaming the halls urinating in every corner of the place and making it very unsafe coming and going. It's supposed to be a security entrance with cameras but, management seems to never see or know of any of the things the innocent tenants that abide by the rules have to suffer because of the lack of management. This is subsidized housing but, the drug problem is running rampit but, nothing is done about it when you can smell weed in the halls all hours of the day. This place would improve if management would get rid of the ROACHES for a start!!!

Karen is a very nice person to deal with and my apartment was nice but it wasn't cleaned before I moved in. The back door window frame was very dirty and the cabinets where very dirty inside and out. My oven is very nasty and was not cleaned before I moved in at all. Just lately there's been a lot of cars windows getting shot out and I think I say this for all of us that it happened to nothing gets done about it and that really sucks for us people who can't afford new ones. There is not enough parking for everyone to park out back and it would do you no good anyhow cause you bring your medical note from doctor and can't get the right spot or they don't have a key to give you.so now I have a parking spot way out at the end of parking lot and have to walk all the way around the apartments ca

They are quick to fix any repairs thats needed and entire staff is friendly. As with any new property there have been kinx but the staff is quick to find answers to fix them. Only down side is some tenants feel they are above the rules and dont want to follow them. There is also drug activity and alot of mental patients living here. I moved because my downstairs neighbor had a camera outside my bedroom window and my teen daughter was sollicited for sex in the elevator several times. would not reccommend anchor village

Place was wonderful when just opening..2 years go by things start changing the place started being dirty not cared for the type of people made living here uncomphfy the pest are wild and everywhere in all apts.
