Amon Appraisals LLC

I have had Mr. Amon do three or four appraisals for me and he is always nice, kind and respectful. I would refer him to anyone and he is welcome to come appraise my home any time! The other reviewer doesn't seem to have much compassion. Obviously, Mr. Amon may have made a mistake but why get so mad?

The owner of this company is absolutely unprofessional and disrespectful. So some guy came down my long driveway completely unsolicited, parked in front of my house and apparently started taking pictures. I came out and asked what he was doing and said he was taking pictures for an appraisal; I had no idea what he was talking about, I bought the house over a year ago. I asked him who he was and he said he owned Amon Appraisals, they post pictures online. I simply said I did not want him to take pictures of my property. He said it's no big deal really... like it was just not even remotely my call whether he did or not. Well, I called the number listed on google and asked if it was legitimate what the guy was doing at my house. Turns out it was that same guy who answered the phone and is the

Jay and Anika are the consummate professionals with vast experience in appraisal practices, with a reputation highly regarded by the local real estate agents (we checked around). They understand Freddie Mac Rural Appraisal Guidelines and are by far the most knowledgeable in alternative construction methods and value in northern New Mexico. We have had difficulty with other appraisers in obtaining appraised value with our award winning pumice-crete home, but for the Amons, it was straightforward. We are grateful to them for their work.

I used them for my Pecos home. They are responsive, efficient, timely and professional. I was impressed with their services and highly recommend them.

Avoid working with this company. They used comparable sales from 2019 and 2020 to appraise for property values in December 2021 in a hot real estate markets where property values increased a lot month by month, not to mention year by year! They don't follow market trend at all!
