I dropped in on them because I was unexpectedly in the area, and picking up my abstract was on my to-do list. But, despite giving no notice, they retrieved it while I waited, and I was out in 10 minutes.

Worst abstracting company in Des Moines! I thought my invoice was high so I had another company give me an estimate. The other company quoted a price that was $150 cheaper than American! Do you think American would match the price or give a discount? Nope, they did nothing. Do not get ripped off by this company. Blue and Associates or any of the other abstracting companies are 100% better and cheaper than this company.

Over a year and they haven't prepared the abstract. It is said to be normal however, I've purchased 2 other homes and received the abstract within 60days when process through a different company.

They are always a pleasure to do business with, very polite, efficient and gets things done quickly just like I need!
