Amberwood Apartments

DO NOT RENT HERE. This place is a joke. We have called them to fix the leaking kitchen sink, the water spot in the laundry room, the garbage disposal that doesn't work and the ant problem. We have called them 11 times and they have yet to send somebody out here to fix anything even though they say they will. Instead of taking my word for it you can let the pictures do the talking for me. Also if you still don't believe me drive around see if you notice how many people have window ac units. When apartments have central heat and air and you have to resort to buying window units that means that the central air is not putting out like it should and nobody is fixing them. I and my mom moved to Amberwood Apartments and lived there for 10 years. The neighbors are nice and peaceful and it has been a relatively quiet place. Maintenance is quick to fix any problems such as ACs, sinks, and are quick to emergency problems. The apartments are old but are spacious and comfortable. The parking situation could be better and allowing people who live in a 3 BR apartment to have 3 cars parked near the residence would be a nice change in my opinion. Overall if you are looking for an affordable place to live in the middle of North Charleston, and not far from Downtown and Summerville, I highly recommend. The staff is very nice and helpful.

We are currently living here, but will be moving shortly due to orders. BUT, I have to say out of all the places I’ve rented before, this is definitely a top 1, easily. The rent is affordable, the place has an old feeling to it, but well maintained and from my experience, GREAT NEIGHBORS. Paula, Joyce & the amazing maintenance team have always been a joy to talk to and easy to bring problems up to. This place is definitely worth the money. Plus, neighbors across the streets always seem to be providing free firework shows lol. Definitely sad to go, but will always recommend 100%! Thank you all for welcoming us and giving us a great experience.

I’d have to say this is probably the best place I’ve ever stayed at by far. Maintenance is easy to talk to, neighbors are friendly & quiet, housing management are sweet & understandable. It’s affordable & if reviews saw otherwise, it’s out of spite I believe. It’s not modern but it’s a home. It’s upsetting to leave but I’d definitely recommend staying here. 5 days leniency for rent, water, postal & trash included, 5 minutes from joint base Charleston, Valero, etc; Thank you for having us and we wish you all the best.

I lived there from '99 to '10. Loved my townhouse. Maintenance was great & Elaine( originally) was a sweetheart!! Rent has gone way up as I was yold bc of Boeing. That isn't fair as my rent was ALWAYS paid on time & in full! In the 10 years I lived there I never had a problem with management or neighbors!! Quiet & peaceful. I truly enjoyed it!!
