I try to be understanding but these apartments are going down hill fast but it seem the management is trying to fool the public by offering residence gift cards for good reviews, also offering or at least they were $500 off your rent. She told us “an old Spanish cleaning lady” got into a fender bender and needed to wait another six hours on the apartment. While we waited at the complex with nowhere to go, it was two cleaning men. Warning! Slumlords! Edited to add: A generic apology is not an acceptable response. There have been no timely resolutions, only empty promises. Apartment seekers don’t let them fool you - beware that the property has taken down multiple recent negative reviews and seems to be incentivizing residents for good reviews. I have worked in property management for more than four years and I have never seen a company treat residents as poorly as AMC has at Alvarado Apartments. Communication and follow through here are unacceptable. Work orders are ignored or done incorrectly, issues are dismissed, and even the regional manager made promises that still have not been addressed. This apartment building is a disaster, from the deteriorated physical plant to the gross mismanagement, from the terrible customer service to the outrageous hidden fees and lease restrictions. I don't live there, but my daughter does. I've had her coming to our house with her laundry for a month because her machine was not working and wasn't being fixed. I had her coming another time to shower because they had no hot water for two weeks straight, and had frequent hot water interruptions before then for nearly a year. The security gates have been broken on and off for a year. As a result, my daughter's bicycle was stolen even though it was double-locked to a lamp post with a U lock and a heavy cable. You can’t take a shower. The water is either scalding hot or freezing cold. The gates are constantly breaking and I have been robbed due to anyone being able to access the property. The floors creak so bad and I can hear my upstairs neighbor walk around all night. The apartments are horribly insulated from outside noise. I can hear my upstairs neighbor talk clear as day sometimes. It’s way over priced. Avoid this place if you can.
