This place is run by terrible management. They love to enter your apartment without LEGAL 24 hour notice. Pest control literally has come maybe 2 times in two years. yet you’re expected to pay monthly fees for that. The trash compactor is flooded with bags every other week. ultimately causing bugs and quite frankly it’s disgusting to look at. They love to come do “cleanliness” checks and have phones out ready to take pictures of any small thing out of order. If you want to be bombarded and constantly feel on edge that someone is entering your apartment without LEGAL notice. live here.

Many hidden fees and serious issues with Alta Shores to be aware of. Background: I moved from out of state. I was selling my home and needed a temporary apt in SC quickly during closing. Alta Shores looked good online, but after living there a year I found numerous issues. Hidden Fees (as of 2025): • Application fee: $125 • Admin fee: $200 • Security Deposit: $1000 “refundable” — expect to potentially lose $200–$500 regardless of how well you clean, due to excessive move-out requirements. • OR $175 “Sure Deposit” (non-refundable bond) that doesn’t cover normal wear/tear, so additional move-out charges may still apply. • Non-refundable pet “deposit”: $500 (welcome letter calls it a deposit, lease calls it a “fee” so it WILL NOT cover pet wear/tear). • “Pet Screening” fee: $31.80 per pet,

Adrian is the most ridiculous leasing manager I've ever dealt with in 30 years of renting apartments. Obnoxious and extremely passive aggressive office staff with lots of silly rules. They constantly bombard you with spam in the form of email and text, and won't let you unsubscibe. The apartments are okay, but not comfortable, and appliances suck and are horribly outdated and not energy efficient. Frequent maintenance requests. They like to enter your apartment whenever, they barely knock and deliver threatening letters if you have the privacy lock on. They have zero respect for residents privacy. Very drafty, expect huge power bills. They also force you to run the AC if temps go over 78. Lots of roaches and silverfish. I could have definitely picked a better place to rent, lucky for me I

Do not recommend! Very unprofessional. Hard to get ahold of via email or phone. We filled out paperwork for our new apartment, they let us know we were missing a few signatures. When we asked them to resend documents multiple times, they failed to. When we finally got tired of waiting for the docs, we told them we wanted to cancel our move in. We figured if they were unable to resend a few links, we didn't trust them in the future if we had an actual problem. They replied by insisting they sent the docs the first time, claimed they missed multiple emails from us, and failed to admit they dropped the ball in resending the info in the first place. They were more concerned with insisting they didn't mess up than actually helping us. We also feel for the quality of the apartments, a $150 appli

Be sure not to leave your auto pay feature on. They tried to charge me a extra month of rent after my lease was up and it took me looking at the rent portal to call them out which they said was a “accident”. Maintenance request takes forever to be completed. Was given a snarky attitude when I asked about the status of a maintenance request that took about a month and a couple weeks to be fixed. They make all these rules but when you submit a complaint they act as if they are too busy to handle anything. Also a lot of roaches both dead or alive will find their way in your home no matter how clean you keep your apartment.
