Worst apartment management experience in 2024. Overcharging 300$ for apartment damages from OU university students is shameful and shocking. We left apartment almost as it was 2 years ago (see below). If the paint was missing, it was missing 2 years before. This was the most stupid way to get money from renter. They found imaginary damages worth 300$ (see their explanation).. Chloe Webster justified saying that they could have charged us more. Very kind words Chloe.. if I had a lawyer we would be in court right now and not on Google reviews. We signed a lease on a dotted line when they said there won’t be any electricity bill. Over the last 9 months they broke their own scheme and started charging us undocumented amounts of electricity bills. When we asked they referred us to Zego. We
Used to be better rates and management before Alight took over. Raised the rent by double I used to pay 325 for 2 bedroom (per person) last time I checked it was 500+. And that was including utilities. They got rid of the vending machines and added on utilities to the bill so you are looking at 700+ a month. They also have not backed up these rates with any amenities or upgrades, using appliances from early 2000’s, staircases are filthy I have seen them power wash it once and even then it wasn’t fully cleaned. Furniture is still old basic furniture, god knows when the carpet were last changed. When asked about the rates they say it’s because of current market but it is clear it’s just big corporations trying to milk out as much money as possible. If you are going to raise prices atleast up
I don't like leaving bad reviews but it is important to me that others know the following: As you may see there are several good reviews but understand once and awhile while living here I was messaged that if I left a 5 star review it was possible to win some money towards rent; keep this in mind. Additionally this apartment has horrible communication, I had my pet as an ESA but even after months and moving out was still charged even with several emails to them. upon move out I have received a bill of more than 500$ for what was put as carpet replacement; I requested more detail on this bill and have yet to receive a response. Please keep all of this in mind if you are looking to sign with them, these were not the only issues I had had with them during the 2 years I lived there but the t
I have enjoyed living at Alight 12th Ave. The office staff are very friendly and the maintenance team addresses requests quickly! I haven’t used the amenities much, but they are nice to have. The physical apartment is pretty nice and I love that it comes furnished. The only issue I’ve ever really had is the parking. At some buildings it’s okay and I see open spots all the time, but at other buildings there are not that many spots due to how the apartment is structured. It’s not a terrible walk, but when trying to bring in groceries and heavy items it is a hassle because of that. Sometimes I will have to park multiple buildings down if I come back too late. If they added more parking I think it would be 5/5 stars instead of 4.
Do NOT move here! Management will find any possible way to get money out of you at any given moment and they do not do their job properly. Maintenance just gets paid to ride around in golf carts. My unit was absolutely horrendous when I first moved in- dirty and already damaged items- that they now want me to pay for! I kept my space clean and damage free but management now wants me to pay for preexisting damage I did not cause. Save your money and move elsewhere. They also have only one trash bin for the whole complex and everything is constantly breaking or under “repair”…makes you wonder what they’re doing with all the money they force people to pay since it obviously doesn’t go toward the complex.
