I had a very disappointing experience with this title company. I canceled my contracts during the due diligence period exactly as allowed under the agreement, yet Abstract & Title refused to release my earnest money and added requirements that were not in the contract at all. Their handling of the situation created unnecessary delays and confusion, and communication was slow and inconsistent. Instead of following the written contract, they insisted on their own internal “common practice,” which caused both sides extra stress and expense. I would not recommend using this company based on my experience. I expected a neutral, professional escrow agent — not one that complicates a straightforward process.
