I have enjoyed living in this building and have been here for some time now. That said, I’m disappointed with how the amenities have been handled - specifically the sauna. It has been out of service for 2-3 months. I have consistently been told that it’s “being worked on,” but there has been no resolution or clear timeline for when it will be fixed. I pay monthly for amenities so I would like to be able to use what I’m paying for.

Love coming to to meet with Melanie, Chris and Malia, such a professional and knowledgeable team. Loved the tour they provided and service! If you're ever in the market for a new condo, come see them and experience the amazing service they provide and the gorgeous condos they have to show.

Unbelievable incompetence, zero accountability, and blatant favoritism toward condo owners — renters, beware. If I could give zero stars, I would. I’ve been dealing with a refrigerator issue since February 24, and despite constant follow-ups, it still hasn’t been resolved. Management’s handling of this situation has been unprofessional at best — and completely neglectful at worst. Here’s the timeline of this ongoing nightmare: 2/24 – My freezer failed. All food and ice melted. I was given a temporary refrigerator that’s too large for the space and makes the kitchen unusable. 2/26 – My original refrigerator was returned and said to be fixed. A few weeks later – The same issue returned. Freezer failed again. Food spoiled again. 4/3 – I submitted another repair request. 4/16 – No respo

Living at 685 First has honestly been a great experience over the past year. The building itself is clean, quiet, and beautifully maintained. The management team has been awesome as well. A few months back, my dishwasher stopped working, and I figured it would take days to get someone in — but I emailed the office and had a maintenance tech at my door within a few hours. The next morning, someone followed up just to make sure everything was still running smoothly. That kind of follow-through isn’t something you see everywhere. The front desk staff are also super friendly.

I had a great experience living at 685 First Ave. The building is super modern and well-designed, with beautiful amenities that really make it feel like a luxury home — the gym, lounge areas, and common spaces were all top-notch and always spotless. What stood out the most, though, was the staff. Everyone has been incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. It made such a difference knowing I could count on them for anything. If you're looking for a place in NYC that combines great design, comfort, and a warm community feel, I’d highly recommend 685 First.
