EDIT: After this review, we were able to get the dryer issue resolved. All that remains is a general lighting issue for now. Improving rating to 4. _ We love it overall, but the experience has been marred by continuous faulty appliance issues. The maintenance team is overloaded a bit in this building due to it being a building-wide issue, so it takes quite a few days sometimes to get help. We've had appliances leak water, our dryer has never really worked and is worse than ever and our entire stove had to be replaced (that was scary/dangerous for a while). We love the apartment, it's very quiet and the location is wonderful. Amenities aren't as sizeable as other similar buildings, but we aren't really here for that. Don’t recommend renting 606 West 30th Street, the maintenance is the worst of all the apartments I have lived, and at times I have been concerned about safety issues. Often they don’t even respond to your requests. The property manager is the least helpful person. However, they will bill you for everything. Their electric bills go from $200 to $550 to $650 for no real reason.

They will say its luxury… its not. The staff is okay but not top tier. The management is horrible. We had maintenance issues that took months to resolve. People go with out hot water sometimes for weeks. Random electrical bills for us and our neighbors were 700 dollars, then 100 then 900. Don’t sign a lease here!!!

The WORST Manhattan building I've experienced in 8 years. Spend your money wisely and look somewhere else. All the 1-star reviews are telling the truth. Do your due diligence. Let's break it down: [Horrendous build quality] 1. Noise due to low quality sound proof windows a. Non-stop jackhammering from the construction site right IN FRONT OF the building. Starts every morning around 7:30am till 5pm including Saturday. b. Loud "farting" sound (brake air release) from the trains docking around 1am everyday. Accompanied by random broadcasts/honking in the middle of the night. c. Thumping helicopters rotor noise from Blade/ Heliport service. d. Constant low pitch humming sound. Consistent quality issues with flooding, appliances, and overall build. Management and Maintenance is often slow to respond, and all items require rigorous follow-up and emails. I would not recommend this building, even with the best of move-in promotions. 6/28/25 Update: there was another flood today - the fifth total and it took them hours and the water flowing into my primary bedroom before they came to respond after hours of submitting the concern.
