I cannot say enough positive things about this building and the management team. From my very first tour through move-in and now living here, the level of professionalism, responsiveness, and genuine care has been exceptional. Every question I’ve had (big or small) has been handled quickly and thoughtfully. I especially want to recognize Kyle. He consistently goes above and beyond, communicates clearly, and treats residents with respect and urgency. Most recently, he took time out of his schedule to assist me with a time-sensitive matter and was incredibly helpful and proactive. That level of service is rare. New tenant here. I moved in about a month ago. I, too, echo the previous reviews. The building is beautiful, safe, and secure. The gym alone is worth the premium price. Everyone I've met so far has been kind. I toured a variety of apartment buildings in the Navy Yard area before I came to 1000 South Cap. Not all were bad. However, other tours were way too quick, some apartments were filthy, and I even had one leasing agent who couldn't answer questions about the apartment they showed me. Victor practically showed me every floor plan that was available and replied to every email I sent after my tour. I worked with both Victor and Kyle during my move-in process. Although I am not yet a resident (fingers crossed!), I wanted to share my experience and the phenomenal customer service I have received from Victor. The unit I am interested in has not been available, but I can always count on Victor to check in periodically and update me, and he consistently follows through on his promise to keep me informed. I’ve been lucky enough to call 1000 South Capitol home for 15 months now, with my lease just renewed for 15 more. As someone who has lived in Alexandria, Fairfax, and Washington DC, and also toured dozens of other “luxury” properties in the DMV - 1000 South Capitol truly stands out among all of them. The Lerner team (Mark, Kyle & Victor) and all of the maintenance and custodial staff do an amazing job of making the building feel like home by providing a well above average tenant experience. The amenities are top notch including but not limited to a large gym which is never crowded, a beautiful pool area, movie room, common spaces and more. My partner and I have had an amazing experience living at 1000 South Capitol! Victor in the leasing office has been especially helpful with anything we have needed during our time living here. We are moving to a new city or we would definitely be renewing our lease here because of all the wonderful amenities this building has to offer. Victor has been so wonderful in helping us get ready for our move. He is always a delight when you see him and truly makes 1000 south Capitol feel like a community. From bagel bars, wine tastings, to hosting events on the roof top, Victor makes everyone feel welcome and included in all the events the building puts on.
