Yorkshire Apartments

It has been a year now since I moved to the Yorkshire apartments and my stay has been great so far. Thanks to Ms Tumi Chungu and Jessica for going above and beyond in making my family and I feel at home, and also for making sure that service requests are attended to in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend Yorkshire Apartments. Keep it up.

If you have another option, I strongly recommend not moving here. This is our third year living here, and it has been one problem after another. The apartment was infested with rats, and management did absolutely nothing to address it. Our car was stolen, and when we contacted management to request security camera footage, we were told there were no cameras on the property. Several other residents have also had their cars stolen. Maintenance is extremely poor. I was once locked out of my apartment during the winter, and maintenance never showed up. After waiting almost two hours, I had to call and pay for my own locksmith. Our dishwasher was broken for months and was only repaired when it was time to renew the lease—after they realized we were planning to move out if the issue wasn’t res

I’m a resident at Yorkshire, I have been enjoying my apartment. The staff in the office are so kind especially Ms. Tumi & Ms Jessica. The leasing and move-in process went so smoothly. I Recommend this community!

Expect them to regularly try to participate in illegal practices like increasing your rent above the legal limits or more frequently than the law allows. Expect weeks to go by with no response for management and no notice before they enter your apartment. Work orders will often consist of painting over the issues rather than fixing them time after time after time. Negligence, sheer stupidity, and incompetence are commonplace for the management staff. Stay away.

I’ve lived at Yorkshire Apartments in Silver Spring for 3 years, and it has been the worst housing experience I’ve ever had. The apartments are infested with rats and roaches, and despite repeated complaints, management has done nothing meaningful to fix the problem. Andrea, the property manager, seems completely indifferent to residents’ safety and well-being. Maintenance is not only unreliable — they are dangerous. One maintenance worker left my gas stove leaking for 7 HOURS, putting my entire family at risk, including my toddler. This is not just bad management — it’s outright negligence. I strongly urge anyone considering moving here to look elsewhere. This place is unsafe, unsanitary, and unprofessional.
