Tbh this is a great first place to live as a couple. My preference is definitely north Wymount over south since it has dry wall instead of cinderblock walls. We were on the top floor and never had issues with sound (except once we got a note from our downstairs neighbors for being too loud but…we were definitely being too loud lol). Sure it had commercial grade carpet that was ugly and the bathroom has no counter space but guess what?! It’s the cheapest you’re going to find for a 2 bed 1 bath in this market and we honestly had a hard time leaving because BYU keeps things immaculate. Maintenance was great (if you got someone you didn’t like, ask for someone else). The grounds around Wymount are insanely gorgeous and well maintained. Don’t like how you’re apartment looks? You can get super c

Great first apartment for a couple just starting out. I would recommend living in North Wymount if possible. Never lived in the South section, but I think the North apartments are much nicer. The rent is extremely fair. You could do much worse in Provo. That being said, you get what your pay for. The apartments are poorly lit, bare-boned, but livable. The rent that they list online is almost exactly what you end up paying. The only other thing is electricity, which was somewhere between $15-$30/month if I remember correctly. A refreshing lack of hidden fees compared to other apartments. Buying your own AC unit is one of the costs of living here, but is not so bad if you spend the money on a good one (if living in a two-bedroom or bigger, I would even recommend two AC units), and you'll li

I love Wymount and I am thankful to live here! The people, the trees, my neighborhood, the social activities etc. People are very friendly and it is easy to make friends. It is clean and safe. But these doesn't mean that they are bothering you, knocking your door or wanting to you be social or a missionary. I mean, this is a place where people say Hi to you and know who you are and you get to know them too. And if you need a help in cleaning, moving, unpacking or a specific material/ingredient/object, they are willing to help you. Generally we are "newlyweds". The Facebook group helps a lot to get things for the house, exchange, sell, donate or make friends. I do not consider it to be a "fancy" place but it has everything you need to live and to start, and the layout of the apartments

I've lived here for over a year now and I think it's one of the most decent married apartments you can get. It's not pretty and it's small but the wards are great, proximity to BYU is a plus, and maintenance is good. The management could be annoying sometimes but it's not as terrible as the landlord problems you get out there. I won't consider it "cheap" and at the same time, not expensive. It's a good place to live, overall.

We’ve lived here for 3 years and have really grown to love the community here. The apartments aren’t anything special, but it’s good for the price and amenities. The maintenance can take a bit for them to come but they usually do address any concerns you have eventually, (typically 1-2 weeks). If it’s more of an emergency maintenance they come say of or next day. Office is super nice and everyone is honest. I think it’s a great option for young married couples/families.
