Woodlake Reserve

Leasing person was very accommodating during my tour she explained the difference between a regular and an upgraded unit so that I could make the most informed decisions. With the different amenities available in different Unit. The property manager Raven, was so helpful and understanding when I called with issues about the application process she talked me through the application, so I could submit my application with the current specials and unit price.

Scheduled a tour a few days ago for today at 4pm. I received confirmation emails and texts multiple times the last few days including today. I left my hourly job early and got there at 3:55pm and no one was in the leasing office. There was a sign on the door saying they were touring a future resident and that they would be back at 3:45pm (aka 10 mins before I even got there). That is cool I’m early and they’re probably running a little bit behind, I didn’t mind waiting. 4:20pm rolls around and still no one is there, multiple current and future residents had come in to see the office staff but no one was there. Woodlake Reserve HAS MOLD IN THE HVAC CLOSET, Air Ventilation System, and Air Ducts. Maintenance tried to vaccuum out the mold with a vaccum cleaner to close out an open tenant request job order for maintenance. ONE FOR CERTAIN TWO FOR SURE MOLD IS NOT TREATED WITH A VACCUM CLEANER. Maintenance visited our apartment to vaccuum out the mold. Maintenance Repairs are not performed by certified licensed professionals to make repairs in the units at all. Apartments are NOT UP TO EPA AND NCDHHS CODE & STANDARD. Apartment Unit is Certified Inspected UNINHABITABLE!! RENTERS BEWARE!!

I hope this review helps you reconsider moving to Woodlake Reserve. I moved into my apartment on June 13th, and it was not cleaned at all—plus, it reeked of cigarette smoke. I had to email the assistant managers almost every day to coordinate a vent cleaning on June 17th and an ozone treatment on June 21st because they were unresponsive. If you don't go to the office in person, good luck solving your problems. Management was vague about the timing and details of the ozone treatment, which prolonged my struggle to achieve a smoke-free environment. Despite informing them about my asthma, they were not proactive in addressing the issue. I scheduled a 10 am tour, but I arrived to find the leasing office completely empty. While waiting for someone to show up, I walked the grounds and noticed that every single bench in the grill area was broken. Between the staff no show for a scheduled appointment and the obviously neglected amenities, it is clear this property is horribly managed. Don't waste your time here.
