Location is great - within walking distance to the capital and other government buildings, as well as good proximity to RTD and union station. While not fancy, the building is clean, feels safe and is a good price. App operated washers and dryers in the building.
If I could leave this zero stars, I would this has been the worst living experience of my life. I’ve lived here for about seven or eight months now and I can’t wait to move! The property management company is real nice until you move in and then they ghost you!!! And I shouldn’t have to pay over $1000 to live in a trap house that’s ridiculous. I’ve been complaining about the noise for months and nothing has been done.!!!!!
Winbri apartments. 1620 Grant St. Denver Colorado. 80203. Nice older style apartments. The elevator is very outdated. Also the units come without A.C. the only complaints.
I lived at Winbro circa 2003-2013, and it was just $300 a month. Sad that it’s gone up. Location is fantastic, very close to downtown and bus lines. No A/C but otherwise I never had a problem. There were a few homeless people at the church next door but at that time I could take the trash out by myself with no problems. I would say the biggest problem was parking. And that wasn’t bad. It was owned then by a different management company it sounds like. It was once a great deal. Great closet space, 2 large closets with a built in dresser. Historical features, it originally had an ironing board that folded up into the wall and a little door to have milk and butter delivered in.
Some of the things I liked about living here were that the location was awesome. Walking distance to great spots and very scooter/bikeable too. There was unlimited hot water in the shower. The building is over a 100 years old and has real character. The building residents are generally pretty cool Some cons of living here were. My unit was very small and had an old fashioned gas stove with 3 unusually large pilot lights. My apartment smelled of gas and would get super hot from essentially having the stove running on low all the time. I could warm food etc without ever turning the stove knobs. Breathing in the Carbon Monoxide 24/7 made me feel sick especially after breathing in the fumes all night. Leaving a window open at night wasnt an option due to the urban environment being so noisy.
