Partnering with Wehrli Construction, a Danville, California homeowner created an inviting backyard retreat that overlooks a private golf course. This All-Season Backyard Oasis project was nominated for Best ADU in the 2024 NanaAwards Project & Design Competition. Through public voting, the architectural and design community recognized the project with a Silver Award. We are thankful to have been introduced to Walt Wehrli with Wehrli Construction. We can’t imagine having our home project completed without him involved. We only wished we’d brought him into the project sooner. We did a complete home remodel and expansion. The project included widening hallways and doorways to accommodate our daughter's wheelchair, and designing and constructing wheelchair accessible bathrooms. We did extensive exterior work also - including designing and building concrete ramps integrated into the landscape and iron rail work. During the initial bid walk – Walt brought all of his subcontractors to inspect everything to ensure their bids would be as accurate as possible.
