Walnut Ridge Apartments

I leased here from Aug 2023 through July 2024! I had an amazing stay m, though I traveled most of the time lol! Mrs Kathy is awesome! She responds in a timely manner and the best part her property is well taken care of all year round. No matter the weather, she’s out there! I’ve never even had to call maintenance during my stay so that’s a plus. I really enjoyed the balcony in the winter time. The snowfall on those huge trees were a sight to see being that I’m from Louisiana.

I love living at Walnut Ridge! My apartment had new flooring, carpet, and paint when I moved in, as well as a few new appliances. I love the layout of the apartment. The master bedroom is large enough for a queen and twin-sized bed and has a walk-in closet. There is lots of closet space, including a hall closet by the entrance and a pantry in the kitchen. There's also a closet in the bathroom. I'm on the first floor with a walkout patio, and every day I get to see bunnies and heard birds sing. There are large pine trees that provide some privacy as well. The halls and laundry room are always kept clean. Snow in the winter is removed in a timely manner. It's obvious the owner takes pride in the building's upkeep. The owner is kind and responds quickly! The maintenance guy is very nice too!

Kathy from the lease team was just terrible. it was like speaking to a brick wall the entire time. these are VERY dated, entry level units but Kathy seems to think they are some exclusive HOA. If you have ANYTHING on your record she will use it as an excuse to not rent to you. she denied me for non violent misdemeanors that are over ten years old. she also admitted that she doesn't even do a credit or real criminal history check and just uses iowa courts online which is not proper. Thankfully I was approved at a much nicer place not far from here within the same price range. also the hallways here are about 130 degrees, smell like cigarettes, and filth. I did file a complaint with the ICRC since she refused to provide me with a copy of the check she performed, which is my right. the applic

Owner is amazing!! Strict on new tenants which provides for a pretty safe and secure living.
