Village at Lake Highland Apartments

If I could give this complex zero stars I would. I didnt make it 3 months before I jumped ship and moved out. The carpets were stained when I moved in, blinds broken, toilets over flowing, spiders and ants everywhere, you can't use the trash service if you live by the wooded area because raccoons go through your trash then you have to spend time cleaning the hallway, dogs barking constantly, neighbors mad and frustrated because management is awful. There is ONE dumpster for the entire complex and you see it piled up onto the walkway and road from overflow (violating the county laws and completely unsanitary) they refuse to credit your account if you cant use the trash service. We moved in just a few weeks ago and so far, are very happy with our new apartment and surroundings. It is spacious, quiet and feels like a cozy home. This apartment complex has been a nightmare for the past two years. The service for non-Spanish speakers is terrible, no one in HR is helpful, and there's always a problem with the rent—they raise it too much, deduct too much, and nothing happens, as if money grows on trees. I want to write about my personal experience in this village. I have lived here for three years and I was suffering from the problem of insects and cockroaches and the problem has not been solved yet. That is why I want to write here in the hope that someone can solve the problem for me. My husband and I used to complain to the old manager and her assistant, Oliva, was standing by every time we complained. Now, Oliva has become the manager and when we complain to her, she says she has no knowledge of this problem.
