Veranda at Westchase Apartments

I worked with Jalene moving in, it was a pretty smooth process, considering I was relocating from Louisiana. Jalene did a great job with responding via email. Overall the move-in process was A smooth transition. The units are nice. They are a bit older however they are nice. Area is conveniently close to everything so you really don’t have to leave out the area for your daily needs. The few request had with maintenance they were able to address quickly and I do appreciate that.

I would go lower if I could and still leave a review! This property and the management were a significant disappointment throughout the lease period (Good sales job, but then once you are past that....). I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. Summary. Our initial walkthrough was fine, but when we actually arrived the property attempted to give us an entirely different (and much less desirable) unit than we had reviewed and approved (from looking at mangroves to looking at the unkempt trash dump). Throughout the time we were there, trash and the condition of the area was always a problem, the soccer facility and pools almost inaccessible due to allowed use from what appeared to be non-tenants (and generally taken over on the weekends without any compliance or oversight). DO NOT LIVE HERE!! I’m writing this review after two years of moving out, because I’m STILL dealing with how horrible this experience has been. After hiring a third party to clean to the apartment upon move out, and confirmation from the complex themselves that there were no more steps and fees to pay… a year and a half later I found out on my credit report I apparently owe Veranda. No communication from them whatsoever. After a month of calling and receiving no communication, I started to physically try to go to the office during business hours and still no one was ever there. On a weekend I finally was able to speak to a manager in person who was rude and dismissive, and then gave me the wrong contact information for the collection agency (which took 20 minutes), so I had to research it

I recently moved from Orlando to Tampa, and I just want to say how impressed I am with the entire move-in experience at Veranda at Westchase. From the start, Jalene was my first point of contact, and she was absolutely amazing, super quick to respond and incredibly helpful with every detail. What really stood out was that I hadn’t even had a chance to walk through the apartment in person. Jalene and Marjorie both went the extra mile by sending me pictures and videos that made it so much easier to confidently decide to move in sight unseen. When Jalene wasn’t available, Marjorie stepped right in and continued that same level of stellar service. This is by far the worst community I have lived in. Since I moved in august it hasn't been anything other than problems. I got my apartment with things broken and not thoroughly cleaned. They also took a while to take care of this situation, it wasn't until I continuously called and went to the office that the maintenance bothered to show up. Additionally, they don't clean their community at all. I've been almost 2 months living here and I have never seen anybody clean their buildings. There is always trash everywhere around the property, the community dumpster is always a disaster, the dog poop stations around are always overfilled and overall a very bad maintenance of the community.
