5 star experience! We were kind of nervous when we saw the other recent reviews but rest assure, whatever the issue was, they fixed it. Our experience has been perfect. We received a confirmation email and phone call the day before we left. Everything is as advertised. Clean and beautiful. Chickasaw cabin is magnificent. Quiet and secluded, easy to get to and not far from Hocking hills. The well water did smell a bit but this isn’t the first rental that has happened to us (last time it occurred in Acadia national park) It is our experience that it is really no one’s fault, some well water supplies are just like that. Stayed 2 nights at Cherokee cabin in late July. This cabin has so much potential if given some much needed TLC. As soon as we entered the cabin, we were hit with a damp, musty smell. The ceiling beams were covered in what appeared to be mildew/mold. I spoke with the realty company and they said housekeeping usually mops with Pine-Sol to help alleviate the smell. They did bring out a dehumidifier but I feel the issue is to the point that it needs some remediation done to try and clean the wooden beams. We were not able to fully relax due to worrying about the effect the mildew/mold might have in our bodies. The cabin overall needs a good dusting as there were lots of cobwebs in corners. The hot tub would not heat past 96 degrees so after the first try of fixing it, they called the local

Attempted to rent one of the properties on Airbnb. They called to confirm the reservation. During that time they told me they do not change the door codes for each customer. (Big RED FLAG!) This made me feel very uncomfortable and the lady brushed it off as though it’s not a big deal. Also they don’t unlock all the rooms but expect you to pay full price. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, she refused and said she is the only one. Then they wouldn’t give me a full refund because I felt uncomfortable for my safety. I had it booked for like 2 hours before wanting to cancel. Very unprofessional and would never rent from them.

Stayed at Swaying Pines cabin managed through Venture in Real Estate. The property was nice and secluded which was great for us and our pets, however, we never received instructions on how to get into the rental. The house has a key pad and no code was ever sent to me. When we called the number provided for weekends/after hours, no one answered, and it was ~4:30 pm, not super late. I eventually made my way in, but it wasn’t an ideal way to start a weekend trip. We brought our own food to cook since it’s pretty remote and we knew there was a grill and kitchen available to use. The grill was left with an empty propane tank. Sure, I could’ve bought propane for the grill, but when paying to stay somewhere with advertised provisions that shouldn’t be necessary. Then, when we switched game plans

We stayed at the Hillside Hideaway this past weekend and I have stayed at soo many cabins in the past- and none have ever been so dirty- when we first arrived we couldn’t get in- but don’t worry- there’s no number to get ahold of someone if you need help- so that was inconvenient. When we finally got in- the cabin is pretty specious. The bottom of the dishwasher was broken off and sitting in the kitchen with bugs inside of it- gross. I know well water has a smell to it- but this was the WORST well water my fiancé and I have ever smelt- it was so bad, we boiled water for our dogs for the weekend because we were worried about it. The house in general was just sooo dirty- stains on all the dining room chairs that no one seemed to clean, the main bathroom was so dirty, stains dripping from the
