Ventura Lofts

We showed up to ventura lofts at 5:15 pm today and their office closes at 5:30 to do a walkthrough (we thought they closed at 6pm bc of google). Jay told us they were closing and still took the time to graciously walk us through the model unit even though he had limited time and had already worked a full day bc we had come in from out of town. He was lovely, informed about the property, clearly experienced, honest, and friendly. He walked us through it with patience and without a hint of the long day behind him. With or without a lease/move-in this kind of dedication left a real impression that turned a LONG day of viewing apartments into a beautifully punctuated day. If Jay is kept on staff, Ventura Lofts is only going to get better from here.

Think carefully before moving into these apartments!!!! The elevator has been out of service for over 3 months, so you have to take the stairs. One of the doors is always broken. The maintenance service is terrible. I've had awful problems in the apartment, and it's taken them up to 3 weeks to come and fix them. They keep saying they're going to do it, but it's always the same. But they're very demanding when it comes to charging. The other day, I had to park next to the stairs because my parking space is too far away if I can't take the elevator, and they immediately called a tow truck. 😒 They're not aware that they're failing by not keeping the elevator in good condition for so long. This place is garbage…

Where do I start! They always hiring new people. The leasing office is so disorganized and always closed. They need to fire the whole team. Compulsive liars! Tell you one thing and lie later. The elevator has been broken for a decade. I got trapped in the elevator! I might just sue because I have been terrified ever since! Chanda has been making promises about fixing the apartments I haven’t seen anything being done! She’s never there!!!! On top of that she messes with the officer that lives in the building. Uses him to come knock on residents doors when she has a problem. That’s so scary!!! They steal packages! Everybody is moving out. Updated as of January 30, 2025: I’ve lived in this apartment complex for a while, and unfortunately, my experience has been disappointing over the years. 1️⃣ Car Security Issues 🚗 – Our neighbor and friend's car wheels have been stolen three times in a year, despite the property being gated with camera. Management has been unresponsive to improving security measures, and theft continues to be a recurring issue. There are cameras on the garage but I was informed they only run for a short period of time. I’ve attached pictures to show the incidents. 2️⃣ Hygiene Concerns 🚮 – The cleanliness of the apartment community is lacking. My fiancé and I toured twice. The first time, we saw a beautiful unit with nice appliances that convinced us to apply. When we came back to see the actual unit before applying the appliances were completely different, old, cracked, and the washer and dryer were tiny. We asked if they could switch them to match what we’d seen before, but they were unwilling to help. For the rent they charge, it was really disappointing.
