They were hired to do an appraisal on my home for a HELOC and the value came in shockingly low even after I had a realtor look at it. When I questioned them on this the first excuse was there was nothing to compare my home to, I was then told being in Saratoga Springs vs Gansevoort made no difference in value of my home. If you know the area you understand having a Saratoga Springs home is much more valuable than just about any other neighborhood around. Then went on to tell me that having a brand new updated kitchen, new well , new driveway and all interior completely redone didn’t add any value to my home. I’m not sure why you or any company would use this company for appraisals

Orlando Valero should not be allowed to conduct home appraisals! I strongly recommend using anyone else for a home appraisal or your realty needs. He was hired by Sefcu to do a "drive by appraisal" of our home. I was told he would call to discuss our home, he did not. I tried calling him six times, left several messages. He couldn't even be bothered to return my calls to discuss the features of my house, for input to his appraisal. He then selected his three "comps" by choosing the three houses that were the closest geographically to ours, even though these houses were older/smaller/inferior quality homes that were in no way comparable to ours.
