It was a lot of work but with their help we ended up with our dream home! They helped from start to finish and our consultant was always available for help and advice. If you’ve got the time and organizational skills you can save a lot of money and get your dream home, too!

I’ve been requesting to be removed from marketing communications for nearly 10 years. I received another one today, call their offices and ‘the best they could do was to once again tell me they are removing me and sorry I don’t have faith that they’ll do it’ they also said I could call back. That’s an unacceptable amount of hoops to jump to get them to stop contacting me.

Horrible company to work with. We started with broken promises and it just kept going downhill from there. Our bid book was never completed, we begged for bids that would match the impossible budget for months. We continued on our own and drained $75k from our savings account. We begged, emailed, cried and more trying to finish this house. Then UBI gave out our address to bait other customers by lying about the amount used to build our home. Their “suggested” contractors hold zero accountability and left us in the middle of the process. This was such a horrible experience and I hope I can stop anyone I can from wasting their money on their services. Honestly, the turnover of consultants speaks for itself. Please do your research. Our UBuildIt consultant missed major critical structural issues throughout the entire process for which we failed inspection. The budget from the planning phase was also very very wrong (missing several items and significantly underestimating others), resulting in us going over budget when there was a $30,000 cushion built into it! Needless to say we fired them when we came to our senses before the final stage of the process “drywall on” even began. Now we have received a notice of a mechanics lien—wow how low can you stoop! (1) you are not a contractor/mechanic, you are a consultant; (2) you are not a competent consultant due to all of the critical structural errors you missed. These jerks just now backed out in front of me on a country road. I slammed on my brakes and honked and they purposely sat in the middle of the road and stared at me. Rude!!!! Don’t use people that would drive like this on the road and be assholes on purpose
