Charles Gate is the worst management company I’ve ever dealt with. Constant, disruptive fire alarm tests multiple times a month. At move-out, they stole $1000 of my deposit with no explanation despite thorough cleaning. Maintenance is slow, unresponsive, and careless. Do yourself a favor — do not live here.

I would give this a 0 star and suggest anyone stay away from this apartment! 1. It was constructed in such a hurry that when I first moved in, nothing was properly installed! The AC hasn't been functioning properly for more than one and a half months now. There was also mold growing on my living room wall after only a week, and they had to check the internal structure of the wall while we were living there. The whole experience was very disappointing and inconvenient. I am concerned about the quality of the building and the heat (AC) for the coming winter. 2. The management company, BREC, is the most unprofessional, disorganized, and ignorant leasing team that I have ever worked with. Communication with them has been super difficult. I could never find a person to speak to on the phone.

I wanted to take a moment to share my positive experience living in this apartment community. From the moment I moved in, I've felt welcomed and comfortable. The environment is peaceful, and the amenities are well-maintained. I also want to give a special shout-out to Paula, who has been incredibly helpful throughout my time here. Her dedication to ensuring residents' needs are met is truly commendable. Overall, I'm grateful to be a part of this community and for the excellent service provided by Paula and the entire team. My living experience in this apartment was horrible! The mangement team absolutely unprofessional and unfriendly. They treated international students with no respect and constantly ignore our requests to get things in the apartment fixed. Other cons of this apartment include loud AC, small parking lot on the back, and no proper package room. If you think you might save money with the rent, you will be shocked about the utility you pay.

DO NOT LIVE HERE 1. AWFUL management! Don’t choose BREC as a management team. Office sent out RUDE E-mails. Instead of trying to communicate kindly, they are using a COMMANDING tone to their tenants. For example, an email literally saying “Do not expect we give you back all your deposit.” We completely cleaned our apartment before move out. However, the charged $870 for “cleaning fee” for no reason. We asked for the prove, they sent back pictures that is not belong to our apartment!!! They are using fake pictures!!! 2. TINY parking spot! They have tight and narrow parking spaces. There's no way for the driver to get out after parking.
