In general, property management in South Carolina is a disaster. No laws, no enforcement, zero accountability!

We have been renting from Town& country property Management everything in our house is brand new. It's less than 7 months old stickers tags. Everything is posted but here's the problem. We rent from 306 apartment, A North main Street Anderson, South Carolina 29621. They have mental health living in the past four units. They know they have a favor problem because they rent to mental health. Now the bedbar problem has came to our apartment and now they're trying to force an eviction. We have hired professionals we have taken care of. We laid powder. We have laid Earth. We have laid Diatomaceous Earth powder and we can't and cannot get a validated email address

Extremely rude and unprofessional experience. I’m currently in the process of buying a house in a neighborhood that is managed by them and looking to build a fence but wasn’t sure what the rules were. I called to ask about the HOA rules and regulations, and the person I spoke with was unbelievably rude from the start. They haven’t provided any information about the HOA guidelines and even told me that building a fence had “nothing to do with the HOA” which is completely false, since the fence has to be a specific color and style. To make things worse, when the fencing company contacted them on our behalf to clarify, the fencing company told them we were young and trying to learn, they were told, “Well, they’re gonna learn TODAY,” in a very rude and condescending tone. Jacqueline, in particular, is unbelievably rude and unprofessional. She talks down to people and acts like she’s running some kind of private club instead of a neighborhood. Her attitude is trashy and completely inappropriate for someone who’s supposed to represent a community. It’s ridiculous how little transparency there is. Everything feels like it’s done behind closed doors, and when you ask for clarification, you get attitude instead of answers. This HOA keeps everyone in the dark, then blames you for not knowing.

Update: I did speak with Sharon and the issue was resolved. They agreed to remove the interest on the account. I am still leaving a 2 star as this could have and should have been handled more timely and professionally by Town & Country from the start. ************************************************** The lack of communication from a business that is built around property management is frustrating. I recently received a notice of a past due balance for HOA fees and Town & Country’s attempt to tack interest onto that. The issue stems from a billing error on their part, so I’m astounded that instead of notifying residents back in January or February of the current year, they discover the error in June and silently update my account balance for $30 past due with NO phone call, no email
