Every time I price materials at this location, they are a minimum of 35% higher that if I drive 20 minutes. Example, few years ago (2) I needed 1 maybe 2 (in case something more was needed) I priced 1 cedar 5/4 decking board there to try to save time for a project. $18! Same one at both box stores in Rhinelander were $10. There were other times I priced and was shocked at the astronomical local convenience fees. I will never give them another cent. Just because you're local doesn't mean that you can jack up the price. I guarantee that if you stayed closer to the box stores (I know they do more volume but it's the same quality) you would've gotten more local business but the almighty dollar is worth more to you than being an honest business. New windows and sliding doors project quoted. Wanted to verify dimensions before placing $20K order. Never would come to verify dimensions. 4 times in store and on phone and no response. After having put all the time into a complex quote, why not finish?

We came to this lumber yard to obtain a estimate for a remodel we are bidding. We were promised the estimate by weeks end. Well weeks end came and no estimate. Monday we called and were told they would garantee it by that night. Of course nothing showed up, so we called again. At this point the owner screamed at us about how short staffed he was and how our estimate didn't matter. He then proceeded to hang up on me 2 times and told us to go f^%k off. He screamed the entire time even though I hadn't raised my voice Definitely use ANY OTHER LUMBER YARD THEN THIS. HORRIBLE PEOPLE, HORRIBLE BUSINESS.
