Tidewater Property

Tidewater Property Management appears to be operating some sort of unscrupulous business operation which takes advantage of the current over-demand for rental properties by encouraging renters to apply for properties that are no longer available for rent. On June 16th, 2023, I and my partner made two $35 payments ($70 total) to Tidewater Property Management for a leasing application fee for a rental property in Ellicott City, Maryland. After we were informed that our application was not selected, we inquired as to the reason our application was rejected. Brooke from Tidewater property management informed us that a pre-approved applicant had already signed a lease for that property (see attached screenshot of text message conversation with Brooke). I just recently moved into a condominium community. To be specific Silverbrook Woods located in Owings Mills. Already I see their management is the pits. The main entrance lock is not secure. The hallways reak of stench from smoke, a lack of cleanliness to the carpet, and dog hair in the hallway. The carpet is dirty, stained and smell of animal waste. Can't wait until 11 months are up. I'm out of this " funk hole." I'm told by the HOA president that there is nothing going to be done to improve the conditions. This is after she agreed that the carpet is unclean and really stink!

This place is very unprofessional stay away. I signed the lease with them and then they try to change my move in date 10 days after the lease was signed. I had to take them to court to get my security deposit back. They spent thousands of dollars fighting a $1,800 security deposit. Stay away from this place and the good news is I beat them in court they have to refund my money. All I can say is unprofessional disorganized and vindictive. Our Community works with Mordy Weimer and his group at the Owings Mills location of Tidewater Property. I have always found Mordy and his staff to be personable, conscientious, professional and eager to handle regular and emergency requests.

I currently live in a property managed by tidewater. Overall they are pretty terrible. Very unwilling to take care of problems, very unorganized and extremely unprofessional.
