Customer Reviews
Hostile and never present are the best ways to describe the management here. Do yourself a favor and listen to the reviews like I wish I did. Below is a breakdown of my rental experience. The bad 1. I was never granted access to my apartment on my move in date. I arrived in the morning on saturday when the leasing office is staffed however no one was there. All phone calls and emails were ignored. I was finally able to get ahold of someone through the emergency maintenance number the next day but had to rearrange the delivery of my possessions at my own cost and out of schedule. I was informed that the property manager took the day off to celebrate her birthday even though I confirmed the day prior that I would be there in the morning and staff would be on site. I asked for an explanation
TLDR, a great place to live in the short-term. I lived in the Waterfront Apartments for a little bit over 3 years, and here's my two cents: Pros: 1. Great access: The waterfront has plenty of shopping, grocery stores, and entertainment options which are all within walking distance of < 15 min. 2. Quiet and nice location: I lived in a river-view apartment which has a very nice view. Don't think you can find any place in Pittsburgh that can beat the view. The apartment complex is usually quiet and tidy. Majority of the units were renovated recently and have new kitchen appliances. The units are equipped with a smart thermostat and door lock. 3. Excellent office and maintenance squad: Office people are usually there and responsive during their office hours. Maintenance crew are also nice guys
I do not speak English very well, and the management here took advantage of that. They waited until after the deadline had already passed to send me an email about the 60-day move-out notice, making it impossible for me to comply on time. This feels like a trap designed to force tenants into paying extra rent. Because of this, my rent suddenly jumped from $2,350 to nearly $3,950 for a single month. That is unfair and completely unreasonable. Tenants deserve honesty and fair treatment. Instead, the management uses unclear communication and late notices to take advantage of people.
Have rented here for 2 years. Office staff have always listened and answered questions. The maintenance staff are super nice and quick to respond to maintenance issues, Mike the supervisor is the best. With all the snow lately they have made sure the driveways and walkways are clear and safe.
Price-gouging management; they make the complex look good, but do not pay attention to the details. It’s a shame because this place could very easily have gotten a 5-star review. I lived at the Waterfront for almost two years. I’ll start with the pros: - Beautiful location. Especially if you have a river view. - Convenient access to stores, a river trail that goes all the way to downtown right outside your door - Decent amount of square footage - Maintenance team is great, and always responded fast Unfortunately, all the cons would be completely preventable if management (starting with Jackie) wasn’t either incompetent or only cared about you as long as you paid your (overpriced) rent. The cons: - At lease renewal, in addition to raising rent, the Waterfront introduced a new “amenity
