The Tallows at Peoria Apartments

This is a wonderful family friendly apartment complex. There is a children’s playground, a bark park for your dog, barbecues, and even a cornhole area. There’s a beautiful swimming pool with seating and umbrellas. The landscaping is maintained beautifully and maintenance does a great job with any request. The property manager Crystal does a great job.

I would never recommend living here, especially for the prices. The cockroaches are unbelievable. No matter what you do, you cannot get rid of them. They crawl on you at night. They're everywhere. The management and the ownership sucks. They don't work with you when I moved in. I explained to them that I go to school and I need help working on getting my payments sometimes. And they had no problem. They let me move in. And then all of a sudden, they kept it a secret. And had a problem, the maintenance is awful. None of them are trained or know what they're doing. They have faulty electric in my son's room. There was electric fire twice, all they did was put a cap over it. They didn't even go into the wall to see what was wrong or try to fix it. This is the most disgusting place I have been

So far Ive been living here for 3 months and have spotted a few roaches. Its never been an issue for me at different apartments. The bathtub has been leaking and I will have to put in my 3RD maintainence request. They kept saying they needed to order a part but I still have not heard back and they keep closing out the request. My oven smokes when I turn it on so frankly im afraid to even use it. Gotta put in a request for that as well. Have had to put in several maintainence requests for dishwasher and nothing gets resolved. Overall theres alot of families in the complex so thats cool but honestly when you have to deal with the roaches and appliance issues, its less headache to move elsewhere.

Don't even think about renting here! Lately there have been a lot of problems with the police, prices keep going up, they never take care of maintenance issues, and it's impossible to get rid of the cockroach infestation in the apartments. I spent a lot of money on everything, and in the end they stopped providing pest control services but continued to charge for them. And to top it all off, they replaced the manager named Julia, who did a good job, with someone named Angelica, who is rude. She was even yelling at a tenant on her first day on the job. She is arrogant and rude. Unfortunately, that is why the apartments are staying empty.

Please do not think about renting here! Manger is very dismissive don’t care about the roach problems! I’ve begged for a transfer because of the roach issues. First week of me moving in i was on pest control. Yea rent may be cheap but it’s for a reason! If you rent here you will have roach problems!
