Been renting here for about 5 months now. Great staff. Clean grounds. My apartment is nice. I don’t experience much issues. I think I got a good unit. Maintenance has taken care the issues that I’ve had before, which it is very important to have a top tier maintenance crew. Few cons for me is the bad internet connection and the hot water goes out faster if you have more families living in your building. Gotta shower really early, mid afternoon, or just in the middle of the night lol. Also the rent. These apartments are way too overpriced but most places are.
I’m excited about my experience with the staff. I look forward to moving in. I think I just will be more proactive when It comes to the issue of roaches. Sure we should have it all cleaned anyway, but sometimes it just can’t happen. Especially down there when there’s a lot of water that occurs during the seasons. I’m just going to get someone to come spray. It’s a simple fix I think. Great Apt, great layout, and looking forward to see what happens! So far so great and very, very welcoming!!! I’ll leave a new review in about six months 🥰
Do not apply to The Spencer at Park Row if you have an Emotional Support Animal (or a “pet” in their eyes) or require any accommodation. I was approved as an applicant but ultimately did not sign a lease because the property failed to provide a fair-housing-compliant lease in a timely manner. Although my accommodation was acknowledged in part, full approval was repeatedly delayed and conditioned on a third-party screening service rather than being handled directly by the housing provider, as required. Communication was circular, responsibility was repeatedly deflected, and no clear or timely resolution was provided. As my existing lease deadline approached, I was forced to secure housing elsewhere to avoid being without a place to live. Prospective tenants should understand their rights
Stayed here for three years and short to say the roaches in this place are wild! The apartment doesn't have recurring pest control service and you have to call in every single time for pest services and all they do is give you little cockroach traps which dont help at all. Be prepared to buy your own pest control aids. They don't offer carpet cleaning once you renew your lease - you have to call it in. They don't have a system to replace air filters every often - you have to call it in too! Otherwise you can have the same filter for years! The bath tubs have mold underneath that they just paint over it. (Pay attention to when the paint starts wearing out). Gun shots here and there were common. Gate getting broken into or staying open for weeks on end. Did someone say unending power O
If you expect to lease from some where, where they never answer phone calls and complete your work orders this is perfect for you. I’ve had an infestation of roaches in my unit, my electricity was stolen from my unit to my neighbors unit and nothing was done about it. I have work orders from day 1! Not fulfilled. I’ve had my unit mysteriously flooded TWICE. Property damaged on the 2nd time, no one even called us to tell us what happened and an apology. I had to go to the office because once again no answer. They’re changed their staff since i’ve been here. The girls are clueless. Linda is very nice and the only person that cares about tenants. Tia the property manager is also nice and tries to work with you. But since that flood in my house I emailed about getting some type of compensation
