The Solera at Kendall West Apartments

I recently moved out after living here for two years and I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude. My time here was great and a huge part of that was thanks to Kilee and the maintenance team. They have been nothing but amazing and always provided me with great service. Kilee has always been prompt and efficient, very helpful and kind! I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place to live!

We lived here for 2 years and they never fixed the water pressure problem; there were DAYS when there was NO WATER AT ALL!!!!!. When we moved in, we found two dead cockroaches in the apartment. They also raised the rent to $1,500 for just one bedroom, and at the end, they charged us an extra $400 for only 5 additional days after the lease ended. The office staff treats you as if they’re doing you a favor. On top of that, the trash would pile up over the weekends, creating a very unpleasant smell. I would not recommend this place!!!!!!

I would give this place a zero if I could. The apartments have serious mold issues, the pool is consistently dirty, and the front office is unprofessional and unresponsive. I was charged an additional $1,599 for an “insufficient notice” penalty, which took my entire security deposit and left me owing money—completely unreasonable. When I attempted to formally dispute the charge, they ignored the dispute and sent the balance to collections, damaging my credit. I would strongly caution anyone considering living here.

These apartments are a scam. Live there for a year. Worst decision I could have made. First they have a mildew/mold problem. The manager is rude. When I moved out clean the apartment spotless and they charge me $175 cleaning fee. Claiming I didn’t clean the apartment. Took my deposit. Bc she claim I didn’t give them a full 60 days move out notice. So they charged me $1589 which is a full month rent. Which Deja and Jordan explain both times I can’t drop off my notice with unless both parties on the lease sign it. Which other person moved out 8 months before. So they knew that bc I told them when it happen. They just want your money. This is how I left the apartment. Pictures below

Do not move in this place. The staff at the front office are rude and so is Management. Maintenance workers are a dream and as sweet as can be. Our apartment started growing mold spores and they would do nothing about it but send maintenance to clean it with bleach. They told us that we needed to keep our A/C on 50 and turn fans on to keep it cool. I shouldn't have to freeze in my own home! Even trying that, it didn't work. I had to throw away furniture. clothes, shoes etc because everything was covered in mold. We weren't compensated for anything that we lost. We were only here for 6 months. They offered for us to break our lease if we sign a non disclosure to not speak about this.
