I’ve lived at The Ryland in Society Hill for a little over a year now and my experience has been overwhelmingly positive so I thought I’d share. The building is thoughtfully designed, exceptionally maintained (the cleaners are always working), and the staff are genuinely resident focused. The finishes throughout the units and common areas are high-end without feeling overdone- modern kitchens with premium appliances, spacious layouts, floor to ceiling windows with great natural light, and excellent sound insulation compared to other places I’ve lived (underrated but makes a huge difference day-to-day). The staff and concierge are considerate and quick to help without being overbearing. They’re consistently warm, responsive, and have been helpful whenever I’ve needed them. Whether it’s h
I stopped by The Ryland to tour the units that were available and met Kaitlyn that fortunately had a time slot available. The apartments were beautiful and Kaitlyn was very informative and professional. Her knowledge of the property was conveyed perfectly and she made sure to go over every detail making sure all my questions were answered. Her employee pride and brand loyalty are a testament to her dedication and making sure all potential candidates are well informed to make an important decision. It’s good to see young professionals offering the best of themselves with courtesy and a smile on their face. I was very impressed with the property and the agent chosen to represent the property. We hope make a decision soon…. Thanks you Kaitlyn and keep up the great work! Robert
I’ve lived at The Ryland for about a year and a half, and it has truly been a wonderful place to call home. The location itself is hard to beat — the neighborhood is vibrant and walkable, and having a weekend farmers market just steps away adds so much character and convenience to daily life. What really distinguishes The Ryland, though, is the people who make the building feel like a community. Kiana leads with a warm, upbeat energy that creates a genuinely welcoming atmosphere. Her approach sets a positive tone that carries through every interaction. Jeff, the head of facilities and maintenance, is exceptional. The building is always immaculate and everything runs seamlessly, but what stands out most is the attitude he and his team bring. They’re consistently friendly, approachable, an
I am writing this review after living roughly a year here at Ryland, and if you had stumbled upon this post, you really don’t need to look at other places. If the rent is in your budget, save some time and I’d consider moving in. First off, I’ll start with the downsides (I really had to think to come up with them). 1. The parking fee was a bit too high for my liking. But there is a parking garage at the Hilton across the street for a fraction of the price so it wasn’t really a problem. 2. There are some noise from the Spruce Street park, but it usually only lasts a couple of hours on Fri&Sat and it’s not every week. So it wasn’t a problem for me at all. And… that’s about it. So here are some great things :) 1. If you prioritize natural light, this is the place. Amazing view (I’ve searc
This is, without exaggeration, the loudest apartment I have ever lived in, and I am counting down the days left on my lease. Noise insulation is essentially nonexistent. You can hear every single footstep from the neighbor above you. On top of that, the building gym noise carries straight into the apartments. You can hear weights slamming at all hours of the day. In the summer, the noise only gets worse. There is live music at the park across the street every weekend, from around 8-11pm. There is also a violent homeless man who regularly screams across the street near the Korean War Memorial which is impossible to ignore, and adding to that, there’s this guy who parks his Slingshot outside the building every summer and blasts his music at full volume. Also, the A/C sounds like a jet engine
