A lot of the comments mention being charged for normal wear and tare. When I moved out, I noticed they automatically painted every empty apartment regardless. I remember coming to my apartment to drop off my keys and the apartment had already been repainted and the painter was working on another wide open apartment on my floor.

The elevators are unsafe and unreliable. They stop abruptly, jerk, and randomly open on incorrect floors. These issues have been reported multiple times. Management has repeatedly stated that the elevators were “repaired,” yet the same dangerous behavior continues. These are not cosmetic inconveniences; they are ongoing safety concerns. It should not take a serious injury before these complaints are taken seriously. This issue is not a reflection of the on-site maintenance team. Maintenance responds promptly and does solid work within their scope. The elevator problems are structural and management- and vendor-driven, and well outside what on-site maintenance can control or resolve. The frustration lies with management’s handling of the issue—characterizing the problem as fixed when it c

Public Service Announcement - beware of applying here. Even if you do not sign the lease, this company has a “Customer Care After Move-Out Specialist” who will attempt to charge you thousands of dollars with fraudulent claims. You’ll have to argue with them for many months. Leasing agent makes many promises that will not be reflected in the lease. The promised rent/parking fee were different than the ones written in the lease. When asked, the agent did not amend the lease. Lease include vague statements such as “ As a regular part of each monthly Utility Bill, Resident may be charged, in which case Resident shall pay, a reasonable monthly service fee in addition to the utility service charges for which Resident is billed. The monthly service fee is additional rent for administration, bil

I wish I could give zero stars for my experience with Riverloft Apartments. Despite paying premium rent, the property is plagued with issues that management either can’t or won’t resolve. During my lease: •Elevators: Chronic, ongoing problems with both passenger and freight elevators made living here a nightmare. Between September and May, I received over 20 emails about elevator outages, delays, and excuses. Even now, friends in the building report that these issues persist. How long until this becomes a safety hazard? • Maintenance and Cleanliness: Upon moving in, the garbage disposal was leaking, and the toilet paper holder fell off. A few months later, the closet collapsed, the smoke detector needed to be replaced, and a large blind fell down, nearly hitting me. While these issues we

I lived at the Riverlofts for 6 years. During that time my experience was as follows: 1. While the building is located in a beautiful neighborhood, there were consistently issues with the amenities they offer (ex. Elevators were frequently out of service) 2. My rent increased every single year I lived here, despite no updates/improvements being made to my apartment, the building, or community spaces. It got to the point where my lease was $400+ more than the vacant units they were advertising online (same exact floorplans). When I asked about this, the management team ignored my question and refused to match the rate ON THEIR OWN SITE. 3. The property staff (desk managers, maintenance team, etc.) were lovely. My one star goes to them and them only. 4. Expect to be nickel and dimed when
