If you are considering moving into these aging lofts, renovated in 2008 - DON’T. Management is in my opinion, negligent. Upon moving out, I was hit with bogus charges totaling over $2,000.00 including fees to paint the unit (over 1,000 dollars due to smoke smell, - I do not smoke) Fees to paint the apartment, the apartment was not painted before I moved in, there were oil stains on backsplash upon move in that I had addressed with maintenance, a charge was made for the stains that were there upon moving in. Was told by maintenance that he had attempted to paint over them. I hung art over stains to hide them, charged over 700 dollars in deep cleaning fees, the apartment was not cleaned before I moved in, and was left cleaner than when I moved in. Quite affordable housing for UofL, with very convenient access to Speed School. Flash floods can trap you from the outside world though.
