Customer Reviews
I've been living in these apartments for 8 years. It's a large community, and we've always had maintenance problems, but this past year, 2025, and so far in 2026, has been the worst. There are far too few maintenance employees for the size of the community, and they aren't trained for all types of repairs. I imagine the volume of complaints has contributed to the bad mood of the administrative staff, who reluctantly review your requests. We're in a vicious cycle of complaints, delays, and poor service. They should hire more maintenance staff, even on a temporary basis, to catch up. I've been waiting for over a month for a new washing machine to replace the one that broke in my apartment, after having reported problems with it for almost two years, and my request is still on hold. The carpe
I have lived here for about 10 years, but I’m currently looking for other places to live. These apartments are not what they were when I first moved in. Maintenance and updates are neglected, and the office manager is extremely rude, often speaking to tenants in a demeaning and condescending manner. In all my years here, I’ve never experienced management this bad. The gate is frequently broken, and at times we cannot access our mailboxes. The trash dumpsters are consistently overflowing. I spent a year requesting that my bathtub be repaired, and eventually had to purchase a mat that sticks to the tub myself. When I reported seeing a homeless woman pushing a cart through the property, the office manager told me they are not responsible for our safety or security. Recently, we received an em
I’m writing this review to warn future tenants and to share my honest experience. I was pressured into signing a new lease in January 2025 after being told I had only three days to move out when my lease expired. As a working parent with children, I felt I had no realistic choice. My rent was increased from $1,100 (with a roommate) to about $1,700, which created immediate financial strain. Over time, the apartment developed serious health and safety issues, including rats and roaches. The rodents ate food, defecated in the apartment, on beds, and in the pantry, and disrupted sleep constantly. This was not a minor issue — it made the unit unlivable, especially for children. I had to move my kids out for their safety. Management’s response was inadequate. An exterminator was sent who only
My wife and I moved into The Retreat in 2020, during peak COVID time. At that point, the rent was extremely reasonable, the office staff was competent and knowledgeable, and the grounds were kept extremely clean. As you’ll see reflected in other reviews, this changed when a new management team was brought in. They don’t maintain the property whatsoever. The gate was often broken for long stretches of time, completely ruining the purpose of increased security. The dumpster is often overflowing and covered in flies and cockroaches, even though there are several apartments immediately surrounding them. Who wants to come home and have to walk next to hundreds of pounds of rotting food? There were several evictions while I was there, and they just pile up the resident’s belongings outside on th
Terrible place to live at. Work orders take years to be responded to, and even more if it is to get the actual work done. Mail room app fails constantly and you’re left unable to retrieve your packages because management and the app refuse to work together. Staff is often dismissive and rude; you have to try hard for them to hear your more-than-reasonable complaints. Trash is always overflowing and reeking. If you’re thinking of moving here, please try not to.
