I’m sooooooo tired of not having amenities 😭 the pool and hot tub were closed on 10/14/25 and it’s STILL closed. We received so many emails saying it’ll “open next week” that was back in December when we got the first one. We still receive them and it’s still not open. We have been without a pool or hot tub for 5 months but we are still paying luxury prices. Not sure what’s luxury without amenities. It’s starting to get so nice outside but we can’t enjoy it. We can’t even sit in that part of the outdoor area by the fire pit. We pay a common area fee for things like that (so they say) yet we don’t have it. They also closed the office on Sundays so that’s even less we have access to. So our common area fee should be less. Gates haven’t worked in months. Again, we pay for these things as they
Do yourself a favor & don’t. Just don’t. I rented at The Retreat for 2+ years. Management was great when we first signed our lease but it quickly changed & every single resident could tell the difference. Don’t let the lure of the gates and the nice pool fool you! The gates were left open 80% of the time & the pool was closed 90% of the time. Garbage was always overflowing with people’s random junk like mattresses or old furniture. Dog park always smelt terrible & no one ever picked up after their pets. The walls & floors are so thin it’s actually ridiculous. We lived on the bottom floor & could hear every single footstep from the tenants above us. The turnover rate was crazy - we had the people above us change 4 times in our time there!! The last tenants above us were horrendous. Smoking
I had a really disappointing experience at the Retreat Apartments. Be prepared for multiple hidden fees that they never clearly explain upfront. On top of regular rent, they somehow come up with “extra” charges that add over $300 per month for things that feel completely made up. The gates rarely work, which defeats the whole point of a “gated” community and makes the place feel unsafe. Management is unresponsive when you bring issues up, and nothing ever seems to actually get fixed. When it comes time to move out, don’t expect your security deposit back, no matter how clean or well-maintained you leave the apartment. Even worse, they’ll still charge you additional fees after move-out, which feels extremely unfair and frustrating. Overall, this place feels more focused on squeezing money o
Top Tier service! I’ve lived in Reno for a while now, my family is gearing to move to Colorado towards the end of 2026 and so we will be downsizing. We had a whole list of viewing and The Retreat was our first stop. It should have been our last as well! Everyone in the office is so sweet and authentic. We did view a few more places after but The Retreat set the bar too high that no other property came close. We plan on moving in may of 2026. Thank you so much for making our experience so blissful!
We lived at the Retreat for over two years. Management changed after around 1 and a half years into our lease and things went significantly downhill from there with things being great and having no problems until this management change. Several months before we moved out we had significant leaks in the guest bathroom from the unit above with maintenance in and out of the apartment, the issue was supposedly fixed, but happened again within the next month. We couldn't handle dealing with the continued maintenance, noise, and disturbance from the above tenants we ultimately left the unit a week before our lease ended. We requested to have management work with us regarding this continued maintenance, noise complaints (from us and other neighboring units), etc to have us not pay the final week
