The Reserve at Barrington

Been here nearly 4 months. So far, so good. The only thing they have not done is painted my door, which they promised to do shortly after I moved in, but I haven’t pestered since then either. Heat and hot water is paid for. On top of the rent is a $50 water fee. Renovated apartments all have a washer/dryer combo machine. It’s capable of sanitizing even. But the nice thing is that you’re not paying for the hot water that washes your clothes. Sally is very helpful, and I understand helps with all kinds of discount programs to get people comfortable. There is automatically a $30 credit towards your electric bill. I don’t really have any justifiable gripes. Seriously. I’m pretty happy here.

DO NOT SCHEDULE A TOUR ON THE WEEKEND. Although they have weekend availability for tours on their website, I sat here for over 30 minutes and nobody ever showed up. The office was closed and no one was picking up the phone number. When I texted Giselle that I was here waiting, they said they passed on my message and that someone would be in contact with me. No one ever contacted me. Safe to say I will not be looking at apartments at this complex anytime in the near future

My brother was there for 12 years No bugs. Now, since they have changed ownership it is Roach Infested!! They tell us they are handling and exterminate! NOT! We called Camden Co Board of Health, they gave them 2 wks!!!! Roaches are getting worse!!!! No one helping Can't find a place for my brother! Wanted to bomb place myself...health dept said not a good idea!! Its been over a month since we saw them and Roaches are overpowering!! Someone help please!

Took 2 yrs to get a front door lock that worked & I bought & installed it myself in my apt. Took 1.5 yrs to get the hot water heater replaced even though the bill tripled in cost. Windows - you can’t clean them or stop the wind from blowing them while shut. Walk thru right now - filthy. They sold it without notice to the residents who are seniors & disabled. Wait lists for affordable housing is 3 - 5 yrs. Trash shoot breaks all the time, elevators break all the time They knew it was being sold a year or more before telling us & they fired the one cleaning lady responsible for 16 floors months before it sold. The rooms are decent. Problem is owners kicking out long term residents by raising their rent well above their fixed income allowance. Many have been living there for over 10 years, then all of a sudden new owners decided rase rents. It really is disgusting.
